So, I saved a slug's life last night. It was good times. Neat, neat fun. He was thankful, I'm sure.
Well, shoot. I am gonna go look at apartments this afternoon around campus, even though I signed up for a room with Dana, cause I was really wanting to get off-campus for next semester. Living on campus, although quite nice at times, is only my back-up plan for next year. But I do wanna live very close to campus. Anyways, I get to hang out with someone cool tonight, don't know who yet though. Then I already have a ride to Ski Shack tomorrow (Kristin just goes,"I'm taking you to Ski Shack on Sat. morning~me--okay? cool!) and then Megan and I are gonna go to Bolivar and watch John Reuben, Relient K, and others on Sat. night. He he. I'm so glad I actually get to go to this festival, I didn't think that I was gonna. So then Sunday I am super excited for cause I get to go to church, (YAY!!!!) have a Scotland meeting (woowee!) and then NOT WORK AT APPLEBEE'S. You are prally thinkin', "Well, did you get a job yet Nicholette?" and to that I reply,"Well, I have an interview on Monday at 1, does that answer your question?" and you say,"Uh, not really," and I say,"Well, it SHOULD!!" Okay, for those of you who have not had to work through college, you won't understand, but for those of you that have, do you know how incredibly awesome it is to actually plan activities on the weekends? Do you know how nice it was to have my Rec teacher ask me if I was gonna go mountain biking this weekend and my response not be,"No, I have to work all weekend," but "I already have a ton of things planned?" It's marvelous!!! Granted, I have to work at Ski Shack tomorrow, but is that really work? I think not. Ah, what sweet bliss.
Hey, here's a tip: to get over someone, do not hang out with them ever, do not look at them, do not reminisce about them, do not talk to or about them...in conclusion, cease being their friend--yeah, see how hopeless that is? It doesn't work. Let God do it. For some reason Andrew and I were dicussing this topic last night, laughing about how it's really not about YOU closing the door, but letting go of the handle and letting God close it if He wants to. Andrew's got some good understanding of relationships stuff like that. One time I said the famous line,"Boy's are confusing," and he goes,"And so are girls and both of them say the same exact things about each other but they are both confusing neither one is more confusing than the other but they won't admit it to each other and if they would just tell each other then half their problems would be solved." Ah ha ha I laughed so hard at that silly bit of wisdom. Ah yes, a side note: I just visited the non-real Jason Smith's website, and he has a recipe for MONKEY BREAD on there, which I just happened to make and eat over Spring Break at Kristin's house!!! And we made the wrong recipe and burned some sugar and butter onto some pans in the process. All the while listening to her mom(who made it over Christmas break too, which was when I first delved into the delicious sticky mess) say,"Where is my recipe where you dip the pieces in the butter and sugar mixture?" Well, here it is!!! Right there on Jason's(doesn't exist) site. Cool. I finished my big hunk she gave me to take home on Wednesday morning. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm.
Okay does anyone realize how pumped I am about Scotland? How much I love love love it there? AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!
