Oh....la deee da dee dah....how everything is working out so well...so, I got hired on Monday. YMCA's after school Prime Time program. Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Right here on campus at the Greenwood school. Couldn't have asked for something better! I have peace in my heart about something that I've been quite anxious about for a while, finally comin' into play....ah, and I feel so smiley and happy and good and googly at the same time about it on the inside. Mmmmmmmmmm.....happiness. Thanks to Jesus, the awesomest God there is (or ever was or will be, since, *ahem*, He is the only one), for this gift of peace. I'm excited about my Outdoor Initiatives class this weekend, I get to go camping (one of my favoritest things to do in the world, especially this time of year and with this kinda weather) and do a ropes course and hang out with my Rec and Leisure studies friends. They are truly some great fun. The only thing missing from this week is....family time. I miss my family muchos, and I can't contact any of them cause I have zero, and I truly mean zero this time folks, money. Oh boy, God is gettin' me through this week by me selling my old Applebee's shirts to my old co-workers...talk about sad. Well, I need to go clean my room for the second time in three days, so I will catch ya'll later!
"So then Mark delivers this killer speech on FISH!"~overheard some high schooler in the union say this a few months ago, just remembered because Wes overheard another dumb quote, in the PSU, from a high schooler yesterday:
"So, do people lose all of their grooming habits when they go to college?"

Wow, I finally finally got my weekly logs done for the last couple 'a weeks for my practicum. Blech! Well, this has been quite a fun weekend, and a new experience for me--being back at school, and not having to work even one of the days. Friday night I tried and tried to decide what I wanted to do from an array of choices, and finally settled on going to the Super Wicked Action Time thing that Chi Alpha held. Poor servant's council--only like, 10 people showed. But it was fun. I got to watch The Emperor's New Groove and then the first half of the Fellowship of the Ring special extended edition with Jen M. We were both like,"Waaah!" and "ooooh" and "AAAhhh" about all of the extended and added scenes. It was fun to be all googly about that movie with a girl. I am so proud of her, she's reading the books. :) Meg and I hung out and then went home. Saturday I worked at the Shack and then Meg picked me up after to head to Bolivar for the See Spot Rock thingamabobjigger. We found Karissa, then brought our blankets out to the grounds and went up to the crowd when John Reu started up. Hmmmm, he was purty darn cute and funny and he looks like my friend Josh! Anyways, uh, Pillar was up next, and they put on a good show. There was this awesome guy in the back who looked like he was 8 feet tall (I later found that he was standing on a chair) who knew every word and was totally into it. I don't think I would listen to them much but I liked it and got some good screamin' in. The coolest part was that so far, both acts had talked about Christ and their faith in Him and pressin' into Him and such. Now that made my night. Each subsequent band did the same thing, so it rocked my world. That kind of stuff is rare at shows, I'm afraid. Next up was Relient K. It was so funny cause Matt Teeson (Tison, Teason? I dunno) had Phil's old hairdo goin' on and Karissa, Meg and I were just cracking up at it. They are always a good time even though I don't really listen to them lots and then Meg and I went out to the side to eat some food and dance to the "Sadie Hawkin's dance" song. Switchfoot came on next. I had never heard them before and now, ahem, I would DEFINITELY buy their stuff. It was my favorite--nice, flowing, beautiful noises comin' over me. I loved it. Mmmhmmm. They had great stage presence as well, all bent over and runnin' around the stage. Meg and I watched them from the side the whole time, and by the time the Supertones came up we were freezin and had been rained on a bit. We got warmed up pretty quick, but after only a few minutes of listening to everyone complain about the mosh pit who were in the mosh pit, getting kicked in the shin, and then not being able to breathe because of the dust, we both decided to leave and just kick up some dust of our own on the sidelines. I love listenin' to OC cause they remind me of my pal Lacy and our late-night trips to Joplin when I would accompany her to keep her awake. :) We skanked and danced it up and warmed up and watched John Reu walkin' around and stuff. Meg got a picture of me with him earlier with him way far away behind me. It was sad. The cloud of dust looked pretty cool at the end of the show, and then Meg and I packed up, found K-lo, got the Jeep warmed up and picked her up to make our way home. Ahhhh, I love my small group girls. Later Meg and I decided to see the IHOP (well, I decided, but hey, ya know) and found out where it was and stayed for around an hour. We found ourselves to be supremely tired at around 11:30 so we headed home. Ah, thanks Meg for a beautiful night.
This morning I woke up at 9:05--ahem, excuse me, 10:05, thanks to the Dour for that--due to my lack of intelligence regarding the time change. Duh! I knew I'd forget. So thank God I got to go to church, which was awesome and I finally was able to break past this stupid barrier I have been having in worship and focus focus focus on Jesus. The coolest part was, our pastor was feelin' it too and so we didn't even have a sermon--we just kept with what the H.S. was doin'. Wow did I feel refreshed. Then I got to eat with some pals at the church and go to my Scotland meeting. I cleaned up my room most of tonight and saw and talked to Dana randomly throughout the night. Fell asleep at 8pm, woke up at ten to finish my logs, and now I am headed back to the lit.
Peace.
